Bring It On!

I'm ready for the craft show, with an hour and a half to spare. I have jewelry and signs and bags and a tablecloth and business cards and displays, directions to the venue and a sandwich to bring for lunch, and it's all in the car (except for the sandwich, of course, but the chips to go with it are.)

This is very unlike me. I didn't think I'd have time to blog for a few days. The usual me would be running around right now trying to get things done, and I'd have to go to Bach Society Rehearsal and come back to finish up before getting a few hours of sleep and leaving at 6:00 a.m. But NO. Not This Time. I planned ahead, and left work a little early, and I'm ready. READY, I TELL YOU! Ok, so maybe a little nervous, too. What's the worst that can happen? Nobody buys anything, and I give a LOT of jewelry out for Christmas presents. I enjoyed making the signs and the cards and displays and everything, so it wasn't really time wasted. It was time I could have been knitting, but well, I won't think about that. It was an adventure and it was fun. And even if nobody buys anything, I might still try another show, now that I have everything ready anyway. Somebody will buy something.

Right?

In other news, I went to St. Louis' newest yarn store, Knitorious on Sunday. It opened Friday, and it is simply lovely. Sandy doesn't have a whole lot of yarn yet, but what she does have is wonderful, and she has such a nice place to sit and knit. Check out the website; it has a good picture. And guess who is Sandy's newest employee? That's right! Me! I get to come every Saturday morning (for now) and help people who need help, which is my favorite thing to do, and I get paid, too. The minimum wage isn't going to make me rich, but the 25% off will help me to become poor at a slower rate, because I don't know how I can work in a yarn store and not buy everything they have. I think I should focus on a goal, like trying to not spend more than I earn. (Am I naive enough to think I could save half of it?) She has a wonderfully beautiful yarn whose name I don't remember, but I need to work 15 hours to make enough to buy a sweater's worth. That's not too bad. I can do that, I think. I start on Saturday. I can't wait.

Wish me luck for the craft show! I'll let you know how it goes!

Beth,

I would stop by and purchase something if I were in St. Louie! Good luck with your craft show--I'm sure you'll do great.

Good Luck tomorrow Beth!!! I hope it goes well. You'll have to update us.

I'll have to drop by the new yarn store on Saturday since you'll be there. I can't wait to explore all.
