Ta Dah! And For My Next Trick...

Well, it's finished. Basically.
(It's impossible to photograph Silk Garden. Seriously.)

It's undergoing some spot-blocking, mainly on the collar. It REALLY wants to roll. I may have to tack it down. And even though I shortened the sleeves, they're still really long. The shoulders are wide, and drop some. So, the jury is still out on how much I like it. I may need to re-block the hem and front opening, too, just to make them stay flat.

In other knitting news, I haven't purchased any yarn since Stitches Midwest. So today I did:
Cascade 220

And I'm going to knit it up immediately. It's going to be a Ribby Cardi. Every time I see someone make one of these, I think I need one, too. And I have a hooded zip-up sweatshirt that I wear all the time and as a result, it's falling apart; the Ribby Cardi will make a great replacement.

Donna had to help me pick out the colors. The blue, "Heathered Blue" I can see, but the other color "Lavender" I can't really. I thought it was grey until I read the label. Donna assures me that it's a good color combination and she's not color-blind like me.

Your sweater is beautiful! You did a great job :o) I find that in order to photograph SG I have to go outside. It seems that no amount of flash or inside lighting will help.

Can't wait to see what you knit next!

If it makes you feel any better I thought it was grey, too, until I read Lavender. And great job on the Silk Garden Sweater!!

Wow! You deserve another gold medal just for not buying yarn since August. Especially when you work in a yarn shop!

It looks fantastic from the picture. You'll have to get someone to take a picture of you in it.

I can definitely see you in the Ribby Cardi. I love the colors you picked out.
