Yes, I Accept Paypal

Just like Teri, I'm pooped. I guess I'm getting old, too. I just want to go to bed. However, I have a few things to do.

First, I must let you know that I have now looked at every blog in the Knitters Blog webring at least once. That's 469 blogs. My wrist is sore from the mouse usage. I learned a lot, about knitting, people, the world, blogging, and HTML. I took a lot of quizzes, and added some fluffy stuff to my own blog.

Secondly, I must finally tell you about my latest foray into entrepreneurialism. A couple years ago, Cast On magazine had a pattern for knitted bracelets. I had some friends birthdays coming up, and I used the pattern as an inspiration for their gifts. The pattern is about as basic as you can get, (cast on, knit, cast off) but I had to change a few things, and they turned out pretty great, if-I-do-say-so-myself. That was the end of that until this past Memorial Day, we were all together for a potluck/barbecue and one of them mentioned that she always got comments when she wore hers, and she had two people who wanted bracelets for themselves "and they're willing to pay." Well, those were the magic words, and I made the two she needed, and then someone else wanted one, and then someone else, and suddenly I was selling a TON of bracelets to everyone I knew, and making an ok amount of money at it. So I designed some necklaces and earrings, too, and registered my business name, and got a tax ID number, and I have a few little craft show things lined up.

So, without further ado, here are some pictures of my jewelry. I have about 20 different gemstones, and I can do both gold and silver. I accept Paypal, and ship for free. Please help to enable my yarn habit, which doesn't really exist, because I have no money.

The pearls are my favorite. Here's a helpful tip: The jewelry dept. on eBay is saturated. Don't try to sell jewelry on eBay, but if you want to buy some, you'll probably be the only bidder, so go for it. It's great place to find bracelets that you can take apart to use the beads for $.99. It's worth a look here and there.

Sounds like you're running out of knitting things to look at online. You must get as much work done during the day as I do! So here's some links to more time-wasting places:

http://www.knittersreview.com/forum/active.asp
http://www.livejournal.com/community/advanced_knit/
http://www.geocities.com/tplemel/knitting/knittingmain.html

That last one has some of my knitting pictures and stuff.

Would you like to come over and raid my bead collection sometime? I don't think I have many gemstone chips like you use in your (awesome) jewelry. But you are welcome to take a look and see if there's anything you want. I know I have a ton of pinbacks if you ever want to design a pin.

Well, now that I've looked at all of them (and it took me a LONG time) I have to start over at the beginning! They update, you know. :)

I have been considering entering into the wonderful world of beaded stitch markers, and the chip beads wouldn't be so great for that, so yeah, maybe I'll take you up on your offer.
