Look to your left - the total's almost up to $200! However, this is not due to the generous bloggers I reach. I've received a total of $15 from two people who read this blog. So...
I guess I'll have to give an incentive. If you give me/Locks of Love money, you'll be entered in a drawing for a knitty prize or two. I'm not quite sure what the prize(s) will be yet, but it will be hand-dyed sock yarn. I'm going to experiment with making a long-repeat skein or two and see how it goes. If it goes well, this will be the prize. If it doesn't go well, I'll pick something lovely from Knitorious. We have some beautiful Shaeffer's(sp?) Anne. Now, GIVE ME A DOLLAR!
You can help me another way, too. If you have a blog, make mention of me. Give me a little publicity. Vicki at Knitorious did this, and a lot of people came to say hello, but nobody dropped any dough. It seems the giver-to-looker ratio is pretty low, so I need some more visitors. And maybe the endorsement will reassure people that I'm legit? I mean, if you think I'm just trying to get some money fraudulently then give them the money yourself, and just let me know. I'm cool with that. Whatever you want to do is cool by me.
And suggestions are welcome. Maybe some pictures of the hair in question? Maybe a picture of my potential hairstyle? How about a "Knitters Without Hair" button? (Or a better slogan?) What do I have to do for you to GIVE ME A DOLLAR?
Seriously. A dollar.

Really, as soon as the bf gets paid, you'll have at least a dollar. Really I can't imagine only donating $1, I'd feel kinda cheap. For what it's worth, I'd love to see what your new hairstyle is gonna be :)
I'm going to drop by Knitorious on Saturday to get my sock and drop of $$$. I figured I would see you in person soon, so was avoiding paypal.
Love the incentive idea - mostly because I've already donated. Do we get one chance for every dollar donated? ;) I'll ask around and see what I can collect, too. I really wish I'd thought to send them donations with my hair, too, so this will be sort of retroactive for me.

Hi there, I'm planning to do LOL later in the year myself. Perhaps I'll set up a fundraiser the way you have--it's a great idea!
