If you'd like to hear a story from a person for whom Locks of Love is important, but from the other side, go here:
KnotInMyThread. It's a relatively happy ending, but it almost made me cry anyway. That's how important this is to me, this is exactly why I'm doing what I'm doing, and why you should want to help me whether I entice you with yarn or not.

A really great guy who lived on my floor in my dorm last year had that. He was completely bald with no eyebrows or anything. Thanks for the link, I'm glad I donated. You're doing really good with the donations. Almost $700!
My grandma died of breast cancer 6 years ago and she loved the wig that she had. My older dd also gave 12 inches of her hair a couple of years ago and she is about ready to do it again. I can't wait to see your new 'do and I think it is wonderful that you are doing it!! So glad I was directed to your blog today!! Off to give a dollar (it will be coming from a zedekiah email addy)
i am waiting for my hair to get another 2 inches long, then I can donate. I statred growing it becausse I was living abroad but then I realised how close it was to 10 inches, so I'll wait and few more months before i cut it. The donations are such an amazing idea. So great of you to bring so much awarnes to this cause.
