Yesterday the contents of my mailbox looked like this:
You recognize it, don't you? Yes, it's a new Interweave Knits. "Yippee!" I said to myself.
Seem familiar? Well it is. It's the LAST issue of IK. But I still said "Yippee!" because that means my mother sent in my subscription card, and I will be getting the next issue, and I don't have to agonize over whether to buy it myself or not. This issue I will either offer as a prize in the Operation Big Chop drawing, or keep it until it's valuable and sell it on Ebay. Do any of you generous readers have a desire for the last issue of IK?
Speaking of Operation Big Chop incentives, here is a pre-dying view of the skein I re-wound around two chairs in my apartment; I put them as far apart as I could.
The yarn only went around the chairs twenty four times, so I dare it to pool! If you used it to make the Pooling Colors scarf, you'd have to knit it the long way. And for just a dollar, you can enter the drawing to win it. And look to the left, I made a button! For just a dollar, you can have that, too!
I just realized I'll have to re-wind it into a more manageable hank. That might be a challenge. Yesterday I pilfered some eyedroppers and gloves from work. Now, I just need to find a way to pilfer some time.

I did a big skien last night and had a lot of fun with it. I am hoping that it works into stripes.
