Picture Pages, Picture Pages

Today I woke up with the same headache I've had for the past couple days, so I stayed home.

I blocked the Cardi Raye back -

I made a swatch with the Irish yarn -

Yesterday I fell down the stairs at work. One second I was upright and the next I was on all fours on the floor. I landed like a cat, almost. Ouch!

I made an FO -
I had been waiting to weave in the ends because I wasn't excited about the bind-off, but I gave up today and called it quits. Details (including the pattern) will be forthcoming on the Finished Objects page.

And this is Kili's 4th birthweek (I don't know exactly what day she hatched), and in honor of that I'm outing her. I'm not sure that I've ever mentioned her before, and I don't take a lot of pictures of her because she's got some picking problems. I do what I can, but it comes and goes and when one spot heals she picks on another spot. I certainly can't knit for her, really. And I don't consider myself a "birdie-mom"; she's more like my roommate. She tolerates me because I give her food and scritches, otherwise, I think she'd prefer her privacy. Oh wait, that's me. She'd like me to be around all the time, and she always wants to be wherever I am. If you could eavesdrop on us, you'd hear her chirping bloody murder and me saying "Kili! I'm just going to the bathroom. I'll be right back!" But she doesn't get it. CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP! After four years...CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP!!!!

Kili on her play-gym on the coffee table,

birds get red eye, too.

Happy birthday, Kili-girl!

Happy bird-th-day (or some similarly bad pun!)

The Irish yarn looks like it's going to be fun. What do you have planned with it? And yay on the finished socks.

Hope that your knees don't bruise any further, and that the headache subsides too. The fall at work wasn't related, was it? *concerned look*

Your bird is just too sweet, is she a Parrotlet? We have a male Pacific Parrotlet who was suppose to be my "friend" but he loves my son and won't have a thing to do with me--they sure have a mind of their own! Anyway, happy birthday to her!
