My Stash

When I posted yesterday, it was late and I was too tired to get out the current stash to document it.

So here you go:

Clockwise, from upper left-hand corner:

- KnitPicks Worsted weight wool, dyed by me with GrapeBerry Splash Kool-Aid. This is meant for a Kangaroo, from Sally Melville's The Purl Stitch.
-Peruvian Highland Wool from Elann (there's a layer of purple under there, too) for a pullover from Vogue a few years ago.
- One skein Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sport in Purple Club. I used the other skein to make a hat; maybe someday I'll use this to make wrist warmers. Maybe not.
- KnitPicks DyeYourOwn, my skein from the Dying Party. I haven't decided what to do with it yet.
- Another skein KnitPicks DyeYourOwn, dyed with GrapeBerrySplash Kool-Aid. I'm going to make socks with it to match the Kangaroo.
- Above the purple kool-aid yarn is the Regia Surf I purchased recently. This will be socks, probably with little pattern, since it stripes. Underneath, I think, is a ball of Lilac Zephyr. It is a souvenir yarn, so I feel no guilt about having no plans for it. [Update: Also underneath is three balls of Mission Falls 1824 Cotton, one in cream, two in rose. Idaho souvenir yarn. Maybe a hat?]
- The cone I got at Stitches Midwest last year. It's from Webs and is Rowan Summer Tweed. It is destined to be a Mandalay Medallions from Interweave. I need to wash it first, though. I'll do that someday when I feel like playing with yarn, but not knitting.

-The dark green bag contains the yarn from Ireland. Someday it will be an aran vest, I believe.
- More un-dyed KnitPicks yarn, one skein each of worsted and sock weight. No plans. Underneath it is some Lara from Elann meant to be a summer lace cardigan from Vogue.
- Recently acquired Strawberry Cream Cotton Ease. Underneath it is four balls of brown Aurora 8 meant for a Backyard Leaves scarf from Scarf Style.
- Discontinued color of WoolEase sportweight, meant to be a baby sweater for charity.
- Two skeins Malabrigo in Vino. I think I'm going to make a poncho out of it, but it's open for debate. Underneath the Malabrigo is the same purple boucle that was in the stash a year ago. I have since tried to make something with it, but it didn't work out.

So, I really don't need any more yarn. Really. I should print this out and have it with me at Stitches this year. (I've only got two pairs of socks in there, though....)

You're definitely on a purple kick. You could always go for some other colors. :-) You don't have any Koigu, so your stash can't be complete.

I went to the Hancock Fabricks accross from Myer House tonight and wound up with 11 skeins of the cotton ease. 7 destined to be a tank for me and 4 destined to be the Childhood from Knitty.com. If you're looking for more cottonease, they have a good selection of colors left. It's in the back room.

It's yarn diet time after stitches...

I told myself I wouldn't buy any yarn until Stitches, then in the last 2 weeks I bought 53 skeins of Cotton Ease. I'm totally out of control!
