Well, if Amy Boogie can have a baby and still manage to blog, then I should be able to get off my butt and do the same.
I don't have a lot of knitting to share, but I've been sewing.
This is both layers of the jacket for the dress. It's coming along. I love the part where all the random shapes come together and start to look like clothing. There's a bit of a wonky spot at the top of the shoulders, the details of which I will spare you, but it's hidden by the collar, so I'm not going to worry about it. No one will ever know. Someone asked what company the pattern was from but didn't give me any way to respond. It's from Butterick, and it's new, so should be easily found.
And I started a new sock out of the hemp/wool yarn from Dzined I got at Stitches. It's very pretty, and it's not pooling or flashing. It feels a little rough, but I know that hemp softens with washing, so I'm not worried about it.
In personal news, baby Faith, my friend's premature daughter has been given the green light to go home. I only got a voice mail, so I don't know the details, but she must be a fighter, because she was only born a month ago, and wasn't due for another month and a half.

Very nice! I really haven't sewn in years, though I used to a lot in high school. It's great how much more quickly it turns into clothes than knitting, isn't it?
Very impressed by both sock and progress on "the dress". Is the dress black or purple? "Fully lined" are two words I try to avoid in my sewing world. Good job you. Glad to hear baby Faith is doing so well.
Yay Baby Faith! I hope she keeps getting stronger and stronger.
I've always admired your knitting. Now I can admire your sewing. I may be able to knit but I sure can't sew a lick.
