Well crap. I just got a notice from my apartment managment that if I wanted trick-or-treaters I could put the provided Pumpkin Printed on Orange Paper on my door.
This means that my usual "I will buy candy just in case I get any trick-or-treaters and then eat it all myself" tactic will not work this year. I'm so bummed out. It was the only occasion in the entire year for which I had good reason to buy a bag of Butterfinger Snack Size (the best size, if you ask me) candy bars. And I really don't want any trick-or-treaters, so I can't accidentally buy too much candy and eat what's left myself.
Drat.

Well, actually, how about buying the candy JUST in case some little kid ignores the fact you DON'T have an orange pumpkin on your door. See, justified! Go buy your candy.
I got to live vicariously this year and bought 50 bags of candy to give out for Halloween at work today...
I have a freind that bought candy, and put the notice on her door.. then her husband took the notice OFF, and ate the candy HIMSELF, saying HE bought the candy.. lol.. don't know if that tactic works when you live alone, though
