Last weekend I did some straightening up around the place, so this weekend I felt justified in doing some much-needed knitting.
First: the sock I designed for Knitorious. The pattern for which will be available there shortly.
Secondly, the exercise/watch TV/knit multi-tasking continues:
I am now into the third skein of NatureWool I'm using for the Here and There Cables scarf from Scarf Style. It was cold enough this past week that I felt I needed to work on something warm.
Then, I realized that I needed something fabulous for my cousin's wedding (in chilly early-December Chicago), and the Clapotis might fit the bill, and there's nothing like a fashion deadline to get you moving.
Five dropped stitches; almost ready for the sixth. I need to get it done in time to figure out how to wear it for maximum effect.
On Wednesday the local St. Louis magazine is hosting a singles party. I can't decide if I'd like to go or not. Is it a loser attempt to pick someone up? Or is it a unique opportunity to meet new people? What do you think? Am I a loser if I go, or am I a loser if I don't?
[update: My horoscope today on Yahoo! says "Better get your chores done now, because in a couple of days, a certain someone will make it their business to completely monopolize all your attention. ... If it's someone new, don't be surprised if you feel like you've known them forever." Hmmmm.]

Go. If it's a bust you will know within a short amount of time. If you don't you might never know what opportunity was missed.
I think you should go (easy for me to say, no?)
Yay for socks! I haven't figured out how to wear my Clapotis in public, either. It's SO big. But it's definitely warm and pretty to wrap up in with the paper in the morning.
Go. If it's a bomb you can leave. If it's a blast you stay and have a nice night out. What do you have to loose?
Whether you choose to go or not, you are not now, nor will you ever be, a loser.
