No Mail On Tuesday

My zipper did not arrive today. So I made a bag instead.

Lined and everything! (The white is a piece of paper.)

It's got a square bottom, so it'll hold a ball of sock yarn big enough to make two socks. I have another bag which is a makeup bag, but it's flat, and won't hold a big round ball. The needles kept poking through the Ziploc freezer bag, and we can never have too many bags, can we?

I haven't finished the ends of the cords, and I should have made it an inch taller, but it turned out all right for not having a pattern. I also should have left more room for the cords, but because they're tight they are stiff, and they hold the bag open. I love that it stands up by itself. All-in-all I'm pretty happy with it.

And we all know how much I love pink!

Awesome! I just love the fabric! I'm a pink kind of gal as well. So how did he date go?

I like the bag - the marbled fabric is very cool.

Very impressive indeed. As a non-sewer, anything like that has me in awe. And it does indeed look like the perfect size for a sock bag.

Great bag. One of my local peeps and I have recently made some bags for just the same reason but we didn't line ours. I put drawstrings on mine and nice French seams inside, though. Wish I owned a better sewing machine.
