It is extremely difficult to be a knitter with an ear infection. My ear feels like a big marshmallow is stuffed in it and all it would take to let it out is an itty-bitty hole. Hmmm. Where would I get a pointy object able to make an itty-bitty hole?
I went to the doctor today, at least. I am now medicated, but still extremely uncomfortable. She said that I have fluid in both ears, but the right ear is full and has puss in it. Nice. Interesting, though, isn't it, that she could see that? Ear drums must be relatively transparent. Who knew? She also said that the right eardrum does not have a hole in it, it is indeed possible for an eardrum to heal very quickly, which explains why I can have ruptured my eardrum Saturday night and be re-pressurized Sunday. How annoying. Where's a slow-healing wound when you need it? And no, I didn't ask her to stick a pointy object in my ear. As tempting as it sounds, I really do know better.
So even though I had a four-day weekend, I didn't get anything done I wanted to. I just laid around feeling weird and unable to sleep. I did get a lot of knitting done, though. One project I'm keeping a secret because it's for The Princess and it's so cute I want it to be a surprise when my sister gets it.
I also made quite a bit of progress on the Koigu gloves. This picture isn't even all of it; all of the fingers and the thumb are done now. I just need to make a second and decide what to do for a cuff. Neat, huh? They're making for a fun project.
See those fine pointy needles? They're KnitPicks size 0s. Wouldn't they make a nice itty-bitty hole?
