"Every Penny Spent on a Bed is a Penny Well Spent"

So says Janet's husband, Paul.  And it was advice well-timed because I spent a LOT of pennies on a new bed.  I think I really made the day of the guy at the mattress store.  And they gave me a cookie, too.

So here we are --
Old bed:

New bed:

Now that I look at these, I'm a bit embarrassed. And that picture doesn't do the horror of the old bed justice.  Yuck.  They say that more than an inch and a half of sinking in the middle is a "defect".  Well, as close as I can measure, my old bed had sunk at least three inches, and that doesn't count how high it probably was when it was new; that's just how much lower the center is than the edges.

I think I'm going to go take a nap.

there's nothing like a new bed!!! I'm having some back problems, too, because of our bed and considering we bought right after our honeymoon, it's time for a new one - 10 years later. Here's to a good night's sleep!
