Thanks Grandma, and You're Welcome

No knitting today, but this is a card my grandmother sent me in appreciation for the jewelry I sent her. It's hand-made, I assume by someone else in the assisted living facility she lives in (she told me it was hand made, but not by her).
Isn't it lovely?

She says that all the other ladies liked my jewelry too, but they need long necklaces they can put on over their heads. I hope it's not too much trouble for her. It has a magnetic clasp, which shouldn't be too difficult, I hope.

And I think you should all take note that those who have chosen to take a look at Mr. House Centipede have lived to regret it. I HAD THAT IN MY HOUSE!!!!! IT WAS ALMOST THREE INCHES LONG!!!! Now do you see why I RAN out the door? What if it had fallen off the ceiling into my HAIR!?! Seriously.

Pretty card. That reminds me, I need to send something to my grandma for her birthday.

It is a fantasticly scary bug. I looked at it at work on an itty bitty screen then again when I got home which has a much larger screen and the bug looks massive. I think I am glad I live in Oregon where we just have slugs.

The card your gram sent you is beautiful.

Happy knitting

Holy Jellybeans!!! Add me to the ranks of those who were curious/stupid enough to click that god-awful link! Mr. House Centipede may be one of the creepiest creepy-crawlers I have ever seen! I usually consider myself to be a strong, independent woman, but I fear I would definitely have had to get my hubby to rid our house of that one! PROPS for BETH!!!
I think my MIL is coming to B&N with me tomorrow! She's very cool; you'll all love her!

That has GOT to be the most terrifying insect I've ever seen! I would definitely run out the door (probably screaming like a fool). Dis-gus-ting!

It's the sort of bug I'd expect to see in a jungle somewhere, not inside a house.
