Or rather...no more mixers, no more whisks, no more teachers' dirty looks. [sigh]
I had my Pastry class written final this evening, and I'm glad to have that over with. I also auditioned for the Bach Society this evening, so I'm all ready for summertime summertime sum sum summertime, summerti-i-i-i-ime. Woo!
And the Socks That Rock continue. I can't get a good picture, though. In real life the flashing isn't as obvious. And I'm considering ripping it out and making them a bit taller. I don't really need tall socks, but that seems to be the status quo around the knitting world, and I made them big enough to fit my calves - maybe they should reach my calves...
The pattern requires a lot of yarnovers, so I might call them Loopy Socks, or maybe YoYo socks. A lot of newbies ask me "What's a Yo?" and then I laugh at them. Now that I've written it down, I like YoYo Socks. It's cute.

Congrats on the class. I liked your cake. Simple and elegant. Love the socks. Is the Bach choir a repeat for you? Is it a yearly audition? Good luck anyway. Are you a soprano or alto?
Beth, did you see this more elegant wooden solution that Carol Breitner mentioned on the Socknitters' list?
