Venture to Cincinnati and Knitting Progress

Well. This weekend I ventured out of Kentucky and into Cincinnati for an audition for the May Festival Chorus. I'm not sure how it went. I completely bombed the sight-reading portion. That much I know. I guess I just have to wait to hear. Afterwards I found the local Sur la Table, and bought some good silicone spatulas and a new whisk. As I walked around the store I anticipated being bothered by a sales person, but when I imagined them asking me why I needed a new whisk I thought how cool the answer "I need a new whisk because I lost one in culinary school," would be. I also treated myself to dinner at P.F. Chang's, and I was very proud of myself when I was able to remember where I had seen a Cold Stone Creamery and found it without help of a map.

As mentioned in my last post, I'm working diligently on a sweater in the round from Knitter's called First String.

It looks kind of funny because I haven't started the decreases yet and it's all smooshed on a short-ish needle. The end is near, however.

Looks beautiful. Can't wait to see the finished sweater.

They just put a Cold Stone Creamery in down the street from me. So far, I've managed to resist the lure of it...
