A Bridget Jones Kind of Day

Hello. This is your roving reporter coming to you from her couch during a work day. I left at lunch time with a bad headache and nausea, and now I'm knitting and watching Bridget Jones movies.

And winding yarn.
Look what I got for my birthday from my parents:

It's one of those things I probably would never have bought for myself, but added to my wishlist because it would make a lovely gift and was more interesting than CDs and DVDs. Now the world waits with bated breath to see if I will ever use my nostepinne again.

In other news, I was re-introduced to Mary Kay this weekend. Remember going to "parties" where an over-dressed and made up woman gave you an endless array of facial care products (available for purchase only as a set, at least at first), and then told you how to apply the pre-chosen makeup colors using only Q-tips and cotton balls? Well, ok, not much has changed, but one very important-to-me thing has changed, and that is the endless array. The endless array still exists, but you have an option to use the "TimeWise" line which consists of a cleanser and a moisturizer. And that's it. Just two bottles. You also have to buy the foundation at the onset, but that's still fewer bottles than before. I'm not a five-bottles-twice-a-day kind of girl, but a two-bottle habit is right up my alley. Honestly, my face has never felt or looked so good. And I have rosacea. It's hard to make an improvement when that's working against you. She also convinced me to try the full-coverage foundation which really does help, and is hydrating, and doesn't look all cakey and nasty. I'm a convert. At least for now.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on MaryKay. I'm a Clinique girl and have been for many years. For Christmas I received the MK microdermabrasion set. I love it!

I have rosacea too and was concerned that this would irritate it - I just go very lightly over that area and it's all good.

I haven't decided if I'll switch to the other MK skin care products or stick with my Clinique.

Oh, how I love my ballwinder! Love love LOVE! [Hmm, maybe I'm a little TOO attached?].

I recently went back to MK, too, and I know exactly what you mean. I'm not sure I'm using the right TimeWise formula, but I'm willing to give it a chance, because my face never looked as good as it did the FIRST time I used their products. I just wish their moisturizer had SPF in it.

I LOVE the timewise line. Especially since a family member is a rep and I get awesome discounts. Makeup wise I prefer my Bare Minerals. They have an awesome line and you can see that line at Sephora if you have one nearby if you are interested. Love the ball winder. One day I too will own one.

Many people feel that their title="acne" href="http://www.skinmed.co.uk" >acne< is overly

embarrassing and
unmanageable. I have read story after story of heartache, especially
from teens that endure heartless bullying from schoolmates. There are
so many different remedies and medications. What most people fail to
realise is that each individual has a different biological makeup and
what works for one person may not work for everyone. In some cases
certain acne treatment can adversely affect already irritated skin.
This further causes unnecessary embarrassment and frustration to an
already uncomfortable situation.
Propaganda fuels misconceptions about different so-called remedies and
even causes. The idea that chocolate and oily food causes acne. When in
truth, makeup, unhealthy skin and even perspiration can cause acne.
All of these factors affect the skin. But even your skin makeup can
affect your skin and create back acne, scalp acne, large assesses or
ingrown hair. There is an acne questionnaire done by a company called
Skinmed that will help to diagnose acne problems through a series of
questions, and then it n recommends the best acne treatment for each
individual.
Teen acne is typically the most difficult to diagnose because of
hormonal considerations, but there is a special area meant just for
teen acne that has a completely different set of rules when running the
formula that determines the best medications or treatments. In some
cases simple changes in hygiene and daily washing is all that it takes.
The site also has a title "free acne/rosacea cream" title="acne"

href="http://www.skinmed.co.uk" >free acne treatment/a that is made up
of a three step process. The primary reason most teens, especially boys
tend to have more problems with chronic acne is because of a lack of
simply washing their face regularly. So this treatment is free is a way
to create a healthy daily routine, while gently healing the skin to
prevent acne scarring brought on as a result of squeezing the sores.
Once daily cleaning is practices, and hormonal issues are taken into
consideration, a proper treatment regiment can be highly affective.
At the end of the day most acne, even teen acne , can be eliminated
quickly and permanently with the right motivation. After all, we all
want to be beautiful don’t we?
