I've had a revelation today. I think I know why I'm buying so much yarn lately (aside from the general causes of buying a lot of yarn.) I think it's because I don't have a lot of time to knit, so buying yarn for projects is like living vicariously through my checkbook. I don't get to knit, so I act like I have time to knit, and maybe someday it'll be true. The withdrawal is considerable right now. I just want a day to sit around and knit, and I don't get to. Ever. It really sucks.
I was talking to my mother the other day about this trip I have to take (and have to look nice for). My mother asked, "What are you going to do with your hair?"
"I don't know." I said.
"You have a lot of it."
"Yes, I know, Mom. Maybe they'll let me check it curb-side."
She laughed. My mother is concerned that I can't make my long thick hair look nice. She's right that it will take effort, but it'll be ok. I considered chopping it off (for Locks of Love) a little early for the occasion, but I'm not quite ready yet.

The only problem with that practice is that by spending your money on yarn that you don't have time to knit...that leaves less money to put aside for the next Stitches event.
Just saying, is all.
Are you ever going to tell where you are going this weekend? And are you going to make it to Jenn and Eric's Super Bowl party? I thought you had said you were going to be there, cuz I have knitting questions and projects to show you! By the way, I've also started a floofie scarf with Lion Brands Fun Fur - I couldn't resist! But now I'm finding out how hard this stuff is to work with! Oi! I hope to have it finished by Sunday, though.
